Velux Rooflight Conversions
A simple design that our builders use to create habitable space with plenty of light in the most affordable way without alterations to the roofing structure.
Dormer Conversions
The dormer style is typically a rear-of-building addition that adds more living space to terraced and semi-detached properties in the local area.
Mansard Conversions
Also situated to the rear of homes, mansard loft conversions are less common but, when used, can create ample amounts of extra living space.
Hip-to-Gable Conversions
With this design, our building company extends the ridge so that it meets the external wall to create vast amounts of space with plenty of headroom.
Converting Lofts to an Exceptional Standard
To be converted, your loft must have a minimum height of 2,2m from the floor to the highest point, although it is still possible to undertake loft conversions when less room is available, but this would require our builders to lower the first-floor ceilings. We will assess headspace during our initial survey, take the measurements we need to produce a bespoke design, and discuss your options so that you go into a conversion project knowing what to expect.
Our building company will provide a fully itemised quotation after our visit for you to consider, complete with the all-important labour and material costs.
Expect loft conversions to take 6 to 8 weeks as a process.

Approvals and Regulations

Because most loft conversions take place through the roof to begin with, you can continue with your own daily routines until the later stages of the project. At this point, our builders and tradespeople will need to enter your home to add a ladder or a staircase for accessing your converted space, and to undertake any remedial repair work to leave your home looking pristine.
